Pair of Air Force Wrestlers Named MWC Scholar-Athletes

Colorado Springs, Colo. - Rising senior Stephen Crozier and rising sophomore Joshua LeMair were each named Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athletes, as released by the conference Monday afternoon.

Crozier, a native of Monona, Iowa, currently holds a 3.54 GPA with a major in economics. A Western Wrestling Conference All-Academic honoree and second-team All-WWC selection this past season, Crozier was one of four Air Force wrestlers to qualify for the 2008 NCAA Championships. Meanwhile, LeMair, a native of Madison,S.D., is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.61 GPA.

A total of 506 student-athletes were named Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athletes. The MWC Scholar-Athlete Award is the highest academic honor bestowed by the Conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sponsored sport.
