Air Force swimmers Bryan Avery and Benjamin Gunn, along with 2007 graduate Paul Parmenter, wrapped up competition Friday at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb. All three Falcons took part in the preliminaries of the men's 100 butterfly.

Parmenter, a member of the Air Force World Class Athlete Program (WCAP), led the way for the trio, notching a personal-best mark of 54.86 to finish 58th overall. Gunn, a rising sophomore from Gainesville, Ga., was next among the Air Force contingent with a time of 55.63. Meanwhile, Avery (Sr., Mililani, Hawaii), the school record-holder in the 100 fly, clocked in at 58.29.

The top 16 competitors in the 100 butterfly advance to tonight's semi-finals, with the top eight from this evening's heats moving on to the finals.
