Air Force Announces Incoming Men's Soccer Class

Air Force men's soccer coach Doug Hill announced today the 14 players that comprise the Falcons' incoming class of freshmen for the 2008 season. The group includes four players that have played in the Olympic Development Regional Program and four from the state of Colorado.

Air Force Releases 2008 Men's Soccer Schedule

Three teams that advanced to the 2007 NCAA Tournament, including Sweet 16 team and 2006 national champion UC Santa Barbara, highlight the Air Force Academy's 2008 men's soccer schedule, released today by head coach Doug Hill. In addition, the Falcons will play both of its service-academy rivals Army and Navy for the second consecutive season at the Birmingham Southern Fall Classic. The regular season begins on Friday, Aug. 29 against UCSB in Santa Barbara, Calif.

James Gullo Named MWC Scholar-Athlete

Goalkeeper James Gullo has been selected to receive a 2007-08 Scholar-Athlete Award from the Mountain West Conference. A total of 506 student-athletes received the highest academic honor bestowed by the conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sponsored sport.

Three Falcons Earn Men's Soccer All-Conference Honors

Air Force Shuts Out UNLV, 1-0, in Season Finale

Senior Andy Nigro scored the only goal in the final game of his career Sunday to lead the Air Force men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over UNLV at Cadet Soccer Stadium in the 2007 season finale for both teams. Nigro, along with five other seniors, were honored in a pre-game ceremony. [+]
