Air Force Takes Third In President's Trophy Match

Falcons are 2-4 this season

West Point, NY- The Falcons took third at this year's President's Trophy Match held at West Point's Tronsrue Marksmanship Center Saturday afternoon. The defending champion Black Knights were edged by Navy, who swept both disciplines, for this year's title. The Mids compiled an aggregate score of 7698 in beating Army by 31 points. The closest match was air rifle with just four points separating the two schools as the Mids recorded a 1923 to the Black Knights' 1919. Navy fired a 5775 mark in smallbore followed by Army's 5748.

Air Force finished behind Army at 7524, followed by Coast Guard (7449) and the Merchant Marine Academy (5486) in rounding out the rest of the five-team field.

Air Force is now 2-4 this season after this weekend's shoot. The Falcons are idle this week and will return to action Nov. 22-23 at UTEP.
